From the creators of "Hollywood Teen Movies" & "Hollywood Cult Movies" comes "Hollywood Brunettes", a website dedicated to the brown haired beauties of cinema and television. The site is the first in a series of four that focus on Hollywood Beauties and their hair color. The other 3 sites are "Hollywood Redheads", "Hollywood Black Haired Beauties" and "Hollywood Blonde Bombshells". For easy reference the sites all have an "A to Z", browse a Beauty by name facility. Also, for cross-referencing, a browse by decade facility is available from our side menu so that visitors can focus on their favorite females from yesteryear or from the new millennium.

According to Wikipedia, "Brown hair is the second most common hair color (after black hair) and is also found all over the world (mostly European, Middle Eastern, African, or some Native American heritage). It is characterized by higher levels of the dark pigment eumelanin and lower levels of the pale pigment phaeomelanin. Of the two types of eumelanin (black and brown), brown-haired people have brown eumelanin. Brown-haired people have medium-thick strands of hair. Brown haired people can range highly in skin and eye color. A brown-haired male may be called a brunet, though this usage is relatively uncommon; a brown-haired female may be called a brunette."

Some celebrities go through numerous hair color changes during their careers and it is sometimes very difficult to track down their correct hair color.
